I can understand that, I really can. I had high hopes for Silver years ago and I still think it's a great game, but it didn't really go in the direction I thought. New paths for Hermione, more details, new scenes... I would enjoy all those things. Like for example, I'm a huge fan of trainer games but also of lesbians. I was always waiting for for Hermione to be sent to a group of Slytherin girls, who insult and degrade her. Or for Tonks to have some fun play with Hermione.

The genre and the subject are ripe for another great game, it's just a matter of someone getting it right and carrying forward.

I can totally understand that when you copy someone else's work it will be much harder to start modifying it and expanding it, but they have hit the jackpot on patreon. No excuse to focus so much on rewrites. But it's still better than nothing and if I ever feel like playing the game again it will be silver not the og. Just for the quality of life improvements.

Did you try the witch trainer from silver games studio? I think they did pretty good job on remastering the original.

Oh yeah way better, still an issue with progression being too repetitive though, for me personally at least.

Im hard at work with both coding and story. This is more of a passion project than it might appear. I hope you come back to play it in a while after i add more content. I have more content i have finished too, but im waiting to implement it until it makes sense in the story.

I think "horror" tag works fine. It also covers the Lovecraftian architecture of gen ai art where rooms and furniture often struggles to have right angles.

I won't be that harsh because it was a free release. Let's call it proof of concept. I've seen worse stuff paywalled so at least that was commendable of you. I just hope you'll be able to maintain a consistent style since using AI usually tends to change details that my be easily oversighted. Also, android when? If I'm not wrong, renpy allows you to release android build easily, just make sure it is playstore compliant to allow bot new and old devices to run it

Why do people like to train Hermione so much? I swear this is like at least the 5th game I've seen throughout the years where you train Hermione. She graduated from Hogwarts 15 years ago, leave the poor girl alone.

AI looks pretty good. If you're trying to distance yourself from Akabur you might look into medium styles though - stuff like Marker, Charcoal, Oil paints, etc. Might take a bit of tweaking but once you have a pipeline in you should be alleviated of both the Akabur-ism still present in your art as well as avoiding things looking obviously AI (though it's already very good).

I'd have advised releasing later anyway though, 0.001 versions almost always die for a reason. They have almost no content, that drags the reviews and hype down, and that drags the creator's energy to make it work down, and then it spirals off into death. Better to wait and release something with enough content that people don't get disappointed.

Either way, I'm looking forward to this. Witch Trainer's held something of a stranglehold on good HP porn games for a while, at least as far as I'm aware. Most of the others are either shit or direct clones.


One way to distance yourself from Akabur further would be to keep Hermione at least slightly in-character. >_>

The AI has some slight influences from Akabur but it been toned down ALOT to avoid recreating his style since im not comfortable hijacking his artstyle. I wanted to make it visually distinct. I don't wanna offer a replacement for Akaburs unique art, but rather create something new. Even the design for Hermione herself might change a bit since i feel the hair makes it too much like his style.

Until I read this I was going to instantly write this game off as a AI driven cash grab attempt and move on but now I am willing to at least give the game and you a chance.
